Description
Tulsi, known as ‘The Queen of Herbs’ is an Ayurvedic herb. It's considered a foundational herb that, combined with other adaptogenic herbs, can help the body withstand many forms of stress and provide many benefits to health, skin, and hair. Precautions: Pregnant and lactating women should not use Tulsi without consulting a doctor.
How to Use
- For hair growth: Prepare a paste by mixing equal quantity of amla and tulsi powder and one teaspoon of coconut oil. Add some water to make a smooth paste and apply it to your hair. Leave it on for 30 minutes before washing off. Repeat this at-home treatment regularly to see noticeable results.
- For Skin: To make a skin pack paste take equal portions of neem and tulsi leaves and grind them together with some water to make a thick paste. Add few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice and apply this on the acne. After it dries off in 10 minutes, wash it off and pat dry.
- Tulsi water: Pour two cups of water in a pan. Add some tulsi powder and bring to boil until the water becomes half. Strain and have it warm. This helps to soothe throat pain and soreness.
- Herbal caffeine-free tea: Ingredients - Tulsi powder, jaggery, water, lemon juice. Blend jaggery and tulsi powder. Add one and half cup of water and lemon juice to this mixture. Bring to boil and strain. Drink it warm.
- Herbal tulsi water: Ingredients: Ginger, black pepper, cloves, tulsi powder, cinnamon, cardamom. Mix all the above ingredients and add water to it. Boil this mixture. Strain and drink it warm or at room temperature. This herbal tulsi water helps in recovering from dengue and malaria by increasing your number of platelets.
- Herbal juice: Ingredients - Ajwain, tulsi powder, cumin, amchoor powder, salt and mint leaves. Take four cups of water and add all the above ingredients to it. Boil it for 10-15 minutes. Have it warm or at room temperature. This juice helps in recovery during dehydration.
